Recently one of our customers called to say the Lord had been speaking to her about a kneeling prayer rug. She was in the military in Iraq when the Lord instructed her as a Christian to get a mat and begin to kneel on it in prayer and intercede for that country. She sanctified the mat to the Lord God of Israel first, then began to pray on it. That was 10 years ago and when she came home she put it away and recently the Lord had her get it back out again and use it as a point of contact for our troops in Iraq and the people of that country. The prayer rug can be traced back to its ancient Hebrew roots. The word rug is translated bed in most translations. It was their portable bed that the hebrew children and other desert people carried with them. They worshipped on it slept on it sat down on it to rest. For a nomadic people who traveled in the desert this item was a must.
Kneeling on prayer rugs came from God ordained beginnings and gradually it streamed into all types of foreign god worship because of heritage. Kneeling before a foreign god is an important part of counterfeit worship. Kneeling is the root for the word worship. This is a show of respect and sign of sacredness of a persons faith. The enemy has stolen this tradition of praying on a kneeling rug. We are not trying to try to impose any type of doctrine in anyway. We just want to give the Lord the glory! How many of us are as disciplined as those people that the enemy has stolen. How often do we stop and kneel on a rug and pray. The reason we have produced these mats is because we want to give the Lord God of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob (Israel) the Glory as we kneel to pray. The Lord is restoring the tabernacle of David (worship) he will restore these mats to his people as a powerful point of contact. After much prayer we decided to call it the Threshing floor prayer rugs or mats. Gideon met with the Angel of the Lord on the threshing floor. Threshing is a means of harvesting. We want to harvest souls. The best place to start with this is on our knees. The dictionary of biblical imagery states that threshing was so much part of the process of producing food, that along with the winepress, the threshing floor summed up harvest and therefore God’s provision for His people Deut.16:13 and Joel 2:24. The christian mission is described in terms of plowing and threshing 1.Cor.9:10. We are on the threshold of the Lords promises! We are symbolically kneeling on the threshing floor in front of the threshold of heaven. I can see the validity in this for the point of contact for our troops especially. Since we began praying about this subject and the Lords direction for us, the Lord has revealed that many of our young people are buying these “magic rugs” as they call them and bringing them home for souvenirs. One lady we knew said that her son came home and told her he hadn’t been able to sleep for months, as she interceeded for him the Lord spoke to her that he had bought and paid for foreign gods, and they had a legal right to torment him because of this. Basically he had bought and paid for a curse, the Lords hands were tied. When she asked her son if he had brought any souvenirs home he said only a “magic rug.” She told him what the Lord had said and he brought it to her. They prayed over it, repenting, asking forgiveness for purchasing this curse in his ignorance then cut him off from spiritual ties to this rug by the blood of Jesus and he was set free, and could then sleep! She was going to throw the rug away when the Holy Spirit spoke to her to keep it and use it as a powerful point of contact. The Lord has given her many prayer strategies as she kneels and intercedes for our troops and the people of Iraq on this same rug the enemy meant for bad! How many of our troops are coming under these curses from the purchase of these rugs? It was shortly after this that the Lord had a customer write us her story, We prayed and decided to make them available for you. These rugs are ideal for healing rooms. This rug has the world map on it. It is 54″ from (side to side.) and 37″ wide (top to bottom) it has a padded fiberfill center and has a brushed cotton backing. It has a tassel on each corner to remind us of the Lords commandments. It can be rolled up or folded into a small package for travel or storage. It is washable.
